I have Asthma. I can’t Breathe! What can I do?
I have been asked the question, “What can I do”, by countless patients over the years. Most of them came to me as a last resort, on their last leg of hope or belief that there might be something that can be done to treat this horrible disease. While listening to these patients describe their life as an Asthmatic, I heard things like:
- I’m a slave to drugs.
- I can’t exert myself.
- I feel like I am breathing through a coffee straw.
- I have no real hope for a cure or for the future.
- Breathing treatments rule my life.
- I am chronically sick.
- I wonder… is it my pets? …My rugs? …My air conditioner? …Genetics? …The environment? …Stress?
- Am I just suffering from an Inhaler deficiency?
They were truly exhausted from countless attempts of searching for a solution to breathe better, feel younger, have more energy and have a hope for the future, only to fail one more time. Most were at the end of their ropes.
That is, until they tried my program. I first explained to them that Asthma is not a normal part of life. No one should have to live with this health problem. I explained my philosophy that all body problems, no matter how complicated, come from vitamin, mineral and enzyme deficiency. I told them that my programs are centered around the idea that if we give the body what it is missing, nutritionally, it has a chance to work correctly.
What is wrong with an Asthmatic?
Here is my theory. There are 4 specific areas that Asthmatics have a problem with:
- Inflammation (Swelling) and Mucous. There is always something causing inflammation and mucous production in the lungs. The inflammation and mucous blocks the airways in the lungs and makes it difficult for the lungs to expand. Therefore, your chest will feel tight and restricted. This is why the doctors give you inhalers with anti-inflammatory drugs and steroids, like prednisone. They are used to temporarily eliminate the inflammation and mucous, but they don’t handle what is causing it so the problem will return. The most common cause of mucous build-up in the lungs is eating some food that your body is allergic or sensitive to. Dairy products tend to be the worst offender for asthmatics.
- Calcium and Magnesium. Calcium and Magnesium are minerals that must be in balance for the lungs to work correctly. Calcium and Magnesium are required to expand (Inhale) and contract (Exhale). If Calcium and Magnesium are deficient or imbalanced then you won’t be able to Inhale and Exhale correctly and you will need to use an inhaler that has some form of muscle-relaxer in order to loosen your chest up and breath.
- Steroids and Prostaglandins. Every person is supposed to have their own chemicals in the body that fight inflammation and reduce mucous. These are called steroids and prostaglandins. These are what the doctors are trying to replace when they give you steroids and anti-inflammatory medications. Steroids and Prostaglandins must be plentiful and balanced inside your body. If there is a deficiency or imbalance in these chemicals then you will not be able to fight inflammation and you will be dependent on drugs such as Prednisone to do it for you. People that are deficient in certain building blocks (such as Essential Fats) for these important chemicals cannot make enough of them so they can’t fight inflammation very well at all. Then inflammation and mucous build up in their lungs and they have a breathing problem.
- The Nerves. The Nerves control the lungs. These Nerves bring messages from the brain to the lungs so the lungs know when to expand (Inhale) or contract (Exhale). They are kind of like telephone wires. If there is any problem with the nerves that go to the lungs then you will have trouble breathing.
What do I do?
Here is a program. My patients that followed it got the results they were looking for. Those that did it half heartedly or some-of-the-time got very little results.
- Five Steps to Breathing Better:
- Revitalize your system with a vitamin, mineral and enzyme replenishment program. Not an herbal program, but a food replacement program is best. The 21-Day Total Shake program is best way to accomplish this. Total Shake gets rid of the junk in your system that is causing excess mucous buildup, and will fill your body with the nutrients your body needs for normal breathing activity.
- The body needs sufficient amounts of calcium and other nutrients so that the muscles of the lungs can function properly. Flood the body with the most absorbable calcium-magnesium supplement available. Our Cal-Mag Premium Tea is almost instantly absorbed and is the fastest and easiest way to build up short-term levels calcium and magnesium in your body.
- Supplement your diet with long lasting Cal-Mag tablets. Our Cal-Mag Pro is designed for long-term calcium and magnesium replenishment.
- There has to be sufficient space for your airways to expand into when you breathe deeply. Therefore, your lungs have to be free from mucous that clogs the airways. Supplement the Essential Fatty Acids needed for fighting inflammation (swelling) and mucous. There are 3 formulas needed:
i. GLA Complex
ii. EPA-DHA
iii. High Omega Complex – Contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 Fatty Acids
-
- The spine needs to be correctly aligned so your brain can communicate properly with your lungs. If you have a local Chiropractor, it will help if you can get examined for any nerve interference in the upper back region. Specifically, your Chiropractor should check for what is called, “Anterior T1, T2, T3 and T4”. These are the nerves in your upper thoracic spine (starting just below the back of the neck) and they are responsible for taking messages from the brain to the lungs. If the spine is misaligned here, breathing can be affected. Only go to a Chiropractor that specializes in correcting “Anterior” misalignments.
- Vital dietary Changes that must be made. This a list of the things that must be eliminated from your diet:
- Stop eating all dairy products. No milk, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, etc. NONE!!!
- Stop eating all wheat or white flour products. Wheat is a very common food sensitivity for my patients that had asthma. It is best to eliminated wheat products completely from your diet. No bread, donuts, bagels, cakes, pizza, pasta, etc.
- You should drink water often throughout the day. 8-10 twelve ounce glasses is a good amount for most people.
- Stop drinking all beverages except water. Most beverages in our society today stop you from absorbing calcium and magnesium into the body. The big three that MUST BE ELIMINATED are listed below:
i. Stop drinking soda pop. All types of soda pop. Soda reduces your ability to absorb calcium and magnesium.
ii. Stop drinking coffee, whether decaf or regular. Coffee reduces your ability to absorb calcium and magnesium.
iii. Stop drinking alcohol. No alcohol is allowed. Alcohol reduces your ability to absorb calcium and magnesium.
-
- Stop eating chocolate. Sorry, but this is a must. I love chocolate too, but it is horrible for calcium and magnesium levels.
- Reduce your amount of sugar intake.

Lots of helpful stuff on this site. Right now I’m focused on getting shredded six pack abs. It’s my personal aim these days. more rapidly. I’ve been told that egg whites, oatmeal, salmon, blueberries and broccoli are all important to incorporate into my diet. Are there any other foods I should consider working into my diet?

I am completely impressed with the article I have just read. I wish the writer of totalshakesystem.com can continue to provide so much useful information and unforgettable experience to totalshakesystem.com readers. There is not much to state except the following universal truth: there is always a person who likes you, hates you,and pretends to know you I will be back.
