THE DEFINITION OF HEALTH

There is much written about Health and Health Care. There is a tremendous amount of attention put on the subject of health. They say, “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything”. Well, what does that mean? What are they saying? The truth is that you have to know what health is before you can have the goal of attaining it therefore we need to have a good definition for health.

Health is defined as physical and mental well-being; freedom from disease, pain or defect. (Webster’s New World dictionary)

What that means is that a healthy person would:

  1. Feel well.
  2. Sleep well.
  3. Be energetic
  4. Have no chronic diseases (disease that doesn’t go away quickly or persists over a long period of time).
  5. Have no chronic pain.
  6. Not require medication
  7. Be happy and alert.

That is how a healthy person should feel.

This is a goal worth working for. But how does one actually go about achieving it. Here are the 6 vital things you need to know to take control of your own health:
